Well, WAC has just ended, and we are wiped out. WAC (Week At Church) is a week where the teens camp out at the church, have group study times, help with VBS, and have nightly activities. It is quite a bear to plan and carry out. Much of the work was done by the Servant Leadership Team (comprised of Aliens), but there was always more for us to do. We did everything that was left over.
Craig taught through the entire Book of Galatians in five days. He slept at the church with the 30 teenagers and spent time with them around the clock. Tiffany oversaw the making and planning meals. She planned on helping with VBS as well but found tht it was too much for her by Tuesday afternoon. Because it's her first trimester she is low on energy, so she ended up only helping with the teen activities and meals. The heat was oppressive, and there is not central AC in the church. We survived with industrial fans and Kool-Aid.
Silas conveniently took his naps in his pack n' play at the church. He provided lots of entertainment for the seventh grade girls. They spiked his hair with gel. What a cutie he was! All the teens are very helpful with him.
This last weekend (following WAC) we recouped. It was about all we could do to sit on the couch and go to bed early. :) We were completely wiped out!
