This book is a must read for every Christian wife.  I’m serious. It’s a crucial book!  The author, Martha Peace, delves into all the character traits we should have if we desire to be a Proverbs 31 woman and an excellent wife.  The question King Lemuel poses in Proverbs 31 is, “an excellent wife, who can find?  For her worth is far above jewels”.  Apparently, he had a hard time finding women worthy of being called excellent.  I know that I often miss the mark, but I want to strive after this goal. This book is solidly Biblical and focuses my pursuit of this goal.

Many women I meet and counsel are frustrated about their marriages and don’t realize all that the Bible says about their situations.  The answers ARE in the Bible and this book unpacks all the applicable passages.  It gives detailed examples of marital problems and very practical suggestions.  I’m on my third read of this book and gain a new focus on glorifying God in my attitude and actions toward Craig each time I read it.  Whenever I read this book, it seems that my marriage takes on a new sweetness to me, because I’m reminded of how to Biblically love. There is no other book that I know of that provides this Biblical help for wives.  Read it and reap!
