š Focus:
Tomorrow, we will be celebrating and remembering another journey to purpose. Many years ago, Jesus rode triumphantly into Jerusalem; the crowd shouted āHosanna!ā recognizing Him as their deliverer. Yet, just days later, the same crowd would cry, āCrucify Him!ā This journey from palms to the cross was not a detourāit was the very path to our completion in Christ. Through His death and resurrection, we are made wholeāspirit, soul, and body. This road wasnāt just Jesusā journey; itās ours tooāfrom recognition to redemption, from celebration to surrender, from purpose to completion.
⨠Reflection:
Jesusā journey to the cross was intentional. He didnāt come just for celebrationāHe came for transformation. From the waving of palm branches to the nailing of the cross, each step was a fulfillment of divine purpose. We often want the āPalm Sundayā momentsāwhen everything feels victorious and joyfulābut we resist the āGethsemaneā and āCalvaryā moments that shape our character. The road to your purpose may include betrayal, pressure, and surrenderābut take heart: God finishes what He starts.Ā Your path may feel painful, but it is purposeful. The road to completion includes obedience, brokenness, and glory.
š Scripture Readings:
John 12:13Ā ā āThey took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting, āHosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!āā
Luke 19:41-42Ā ā āAs he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over itā¦ā
Philippians 1:6Ā ā āHe who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.ā
Colossians 2:9-10Ā ā āFor in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and in Christ you have been brought to fullness...ā
Hebrews 12:2Ā ā ā...for the joy set before him, he endured the cross...ā
š Declarations:
Declare these truths aloud in faith:
I am complete in Christ, who journeyed from palms to the cross for my salvation.
What God started in me, He will complete with divine precision.
I will not fear the road ahead, for Christ has walked it before me.
I embrace the process that leads to purpose and wholeness in Jesus.
Even in suffering, I am growing in strength, faith, and identity in Christ.
ā Questions for Reflection:
Have I only welcomed Jesus in the āPalm Sundayā seasons of joy, or am I walking with Him through the āGethsemaneā seasons of surrender?
Which current challenges in my life could potentially contribute to the path toward completion?
In what ways have I seen God use painful moments to shape my purpose?
What does it mean for me personally to be ācomplete in Christā?
How can I encourage someone else who is on their road from celebration to surrender?
